A Brit guy in an american RV
Sharing what he knows to help you make it work...
Welcome to my humble site!
After leaving the rat race back in 2014, and then spending some time living in a race truck. Myself, and by partner decided that we loved, the freedom afforded by being able to move house at the turn of a key. We also loved the fact that our outgoings had plummeted. We reveled in the fact that one day there were mountains outside the kitchen window, and the next the crystal clear waters of the adriatic.
All was not perfect though. The race truck afforded almost all the facilities that a house did, but as we were no spring chickens, it wasn't quite comfortable or spacious enough.
So, what to do? Back to bricks and mortar? Not a chance mate, this lifestyle is just too liberating. So now I find myself captain of a 35ft long 1999 Tiffin Allegro american motorhome, or RV, with all of its space and luxuries.
The downside of all this of course, is summed up by the looks you get in your local Halfords when trying to find a part. It's not your standard motor vehicle, and that is the main challenge.
Still, what's done is done, so I've had to make it work, and I'm learning fast.
The purpose of this site is to document some of those things I've learned along the way in order to help others who are either in the same boat, or thinking about making the break.
So, please feel free to have a poke around my virtual workshop and library. I hope you find something useful. Any feedback gratefully received through the contact section.
